lyrics
A house in which the law is leaking
where history and person are conjoined
but slaves are slaves until the term has ended
democracy
new worlds appearing
new worlds appearing
your spine is the snake uncoiling
democracy
new worlds appearing
wake up, wake up, wake up
dream and memory combined
wake up, wake up, wake up
you call and there’s no answer
but the silence is the voice
as i glide through the silence
shards of light they scan me
mosquito takes my sample
now my blood can fly
a sense of being stared at
when we’re side by side
taken by the horizon
as our worlds collide
and as the darkness dies
dreaming in disguise
new worlds appearing
new worlds appearing
new worlds appearing
Featured this album on the fourth issue of RULE of THREE (http://bit.ly/RULEofTHREEbc). Religion opens with a pseudo-mechanical drum rhythm and a thick, heavy synth bass that is quickly followed by a deceptively simple and emotive guitar line that comes back again and again with increasing effect and drama throughout the track. The vocals are “spot on” in terms of melody, hook, lyrics and overall mood - this is how it is done. Driving. Dark. Sublime. Christian Schaefer
A truly original blend of haunting electronics and gothic drama mirroring the complex and unknowable nature of human emotions. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 30, 2023
“Strangers” is packed with wonderfully menacing electro-goth—late-night horror movie music for vampire dance parties. Bandcamp New & Notable May 8, 2023
I have listened to this album so many times I know it like the back of my hand. Yet, no matter how many times I hear it, it always seems fresh and new, which is a rare thing indeed. ghaseloff
