lyrics
Today I fear the outcomes
the premises for action
glowing white and golden
paralysis sets in
and genesis comes undone
a violent reaction
the hand of cards has folded
there is no game to win
from the outset
I’ll join the disillusioned
and disavow reaction
to break the chain that’s moulded
the established grip
if i seem somehow saddened
by distant splintered factions
and friends i have forgotten
it’s only one more fractured step
from the outset
from the outset
desire becomes form
a distant door has opened
let me in
let me in
my desires have murmured
cleave these small hands apart
and watch the air grow thicker by the hour
Featured this album on the fourth issue of RULE of THREE (http://bit.ly/RULEofTHREEbc). Religion opens with a pseudo-mechanical drum rhythm and a thick, heavy synth bass that is quickly followed by a deceptively simple and emotive guitar line that comes back again and again with increasing effect and drama throughout the track. The vocals are “spot on” in terms of melody, hook, lyrics and overall mood - this is how it is done. Driving. Dark. Sublime. Christian Schaefer
A truly original blend of haunting electronics and gothic drama mirroring the complex and unknowable nature of human emotions. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 30, 2023
“Strangers” is packed with wonderfully menacing electro-goth—late-night horror movie music for vampire dance parties. Bandcamp New & Notable May 8, 2023
I have listened to this album so many times I know it like the back of my hand. Yet, no matter how many times I hear it, it always seems fresh and new, which is a rare thing indeed. ghaseloff
